Holiday Nights at Zoo Montana

40th Annual Festival of Trees at the MetraPark
The annual Festival of Trees at the MetraPark is a 3-day event hosted by the Family Tree Nurturing Center that starts off with an annual Gala where you can stroll through a winter wonderland while sipping champagne and enjoy 40 beautifully decorated trees.
All dollars raised at the festival go toward the many child abuse prevention programs in place at Family Tree Nurturing Center.
On Friday, you can enjoy Tea in the Trees, a gift boutique, gingerbread house contest, live entertainment, and a carnival to end the night. On Saturday, you can join story time with Santa and snap your holiday pictures with the jolly big guy!

The Christmas Stroll starts at 5pm and then at 6pm both Friday and Saturday evening the Blade Parade rolls down Broadway starting at 8th street and continuing to 14th.

Dress in your ugliest Christmas sweater and enjoy an evening of dinner and drinks while you collect evidence to crack the case.
Reservations are $95 per person and tickets include character name and description, costume suggestions, a 3-course dinner, wine, and participation in the mystery throughout the evening.

A Christmas Carol Musical at Alberta Bair Theater
Charles Dickens’ endearing tale of Ebenezer Scrooge’s journey of redemption is getting a makeover this season with help from Narrator Dan Nickerson and the Billings Symphony. You’ll recognize many of the timeless, traditional selections including Vaughan Williams’ Fantasia on Greensleeves and Bizet’s rousing Farandole. The performance ends with an audience singalong of favorite carols and will leave you filled with warm holiday memories.

40th Annual Holiday Parade
The Holiday Parade is a long-time tradition for the Billings community to usher in the holiday season on the Friday after Thanksgiving. With families gathered for the weekend to eat and shop, the Holiday Parade is a great way to celebrate the season by joining the community to see over 60 holiday floats decorated in theme for the holidays with Santa riding as the parade finale.
Red Lodge Turkey Trot
Your favorite holiday event in Red Lodge is back again. A free, family and dog friendly run/walk at the Rodeo Grounds in Red Lodge. The course is a 3-mile, double out and back which makes it perfect for the 1/2 trot option of 1.5 miles as well!

75 Years of Music

This dynamic tribute begins with Glière’s Russian Sailors’ Dance which was first programmed on the inaugural 1951 concert. The tour continues throughout each decade since, ending with a mix of contemporary pieces such as Bohemian Rhapsody and John Adams’ Short Ride in a Fast Machine. The annual HarvestFest celebrates the changing seasons with a rich diversity of arts and crafts, mums, pumpkins, jams, face painting, balloon twisting, pies, and the final offerings of locally grown produce. The grand community fall festival takes place in the center of downtown Billings, on streets below Skypoint!
Nile Stock Show and Rodeo
The NILE (Northern International Livestock Expo) is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and embracing the western way of life through the promotion of livestock, youth education and respect for western ag culture.
The week-long event (October 11-18) includes four nights of rodeo so buckle up and strap on your boots because the NILE rodeo is ready and waiting for you!

Big Sky Comedy Festival is one of the Nation’s Top Comedy Festivals that happens in Billings, MT over 5 days. Over 1,000 Comedians from all over the Globe submit to perform but only 26 are selected. BSCF has helped the careers of many comedians who have been discovered at BSCF & have gone on to perform on the Tonight Show, SNL, Comedy Central and Feature Films. Industry executives from major Agencies, TV Producers, Casting Directors also attend in hopes to find the next best thing.
